My Teaching Philosophy
“All kids need is a little help, a little hope, and somebody who believes in them.” – Magic Johnson

Every child can learn, in their own way.
My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that every child can learn and grow, but not all children learn in the same way. I believe in being flexible and adapting my teaching to allow each student to learn instead of just expecting students to fit one way. Creating an inclusive and respectful classroom is important to me, where students feel safe to take risks and express themselves in a way that feels safe and comfortable. I also value hands-on, interactive learning experiences that encourage curiosity and critical thinking.
Curiosity and Confidence
What truly inspires me to become an elementary teacher is the opportunity to be a positive and supportive adult during such an important stage of a child’s life. Young students are naturally curious, creative, and eager to learn, and I find it so impactful and rewarding to help these students grow. Through my experiences in classrooms, I have seen how much of a difference a caring and encouraging teacher can make in their lives. Being able to be a consistent positive influence in their lives is truly a blessing.
The impact I aim to have on my students goes past just learning addition. I want my students to feel confident in themselves, willing to take chances, and allowing them to be proud of who they are. I hope for them to enjoy learning while also having them develop skills like kindness, respect, and resilience.
