Key Teaching Strengths

I believe that I stand out as an elementary teacher because of a variety of qualities. A deep sense of empathy allows for me to have understanding and connection with students' individual needs. A strong growth mindset allows for a positive and encouraging learning environment where challenges are seen as opportunities to grow. I also have an outgoing personality that creates an engaging and approachable community in my future classroom.

Accomplishments

 

  • Honour Roll in Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12.
  • Dean's List in Year 1 and 2 at Valley City State University.
  • Consistent volunteer experience teaching youth in community pitching and softball.
  • Annual summer volunteer work at Bible Camp.
  • Volunteer at the local old folks' home.
